The Love London Working team is celebrating the recruitment of 364 Londoners to the employment programme, after a successful weekend at the London Jobs Show, held in Westfield, Shepherds Bush on the 29th and 30th September.
Love London Working is a voluntary scheme, open to any London resident over the age of 16 who is looking for work and not enrolled on a statutory programme such as the Work Programme.
Love London Working is a partnership between the European Social Fund, GLA and 15 Housing Associations, designed to help people into work by providing support, advice and access to training. The three year delivery programme is led by Clarion Housing Group, the largest housing association in the UK.
The initiative provides bespoke support with job applications, CV writing, interview practice and has a wide variety of jobs and work placements to apply for across London. It also offers training, targeted financial assistance and support to develop skills in IT and work related training.
At the London Jobs Show, a total of 364 people signed up for the programme. There were new registrations from all 33 London boroughs, with the scheme proving most popular with residents from Brent, where 50 people signed up over the weekend.
