Clarion Housing Group is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists in the 2018 UK Housing Awards.
Nominated in the ‘outstanding approach to promoting digital inclusion’ category, this acknowledges the brilliant work done by the Money and Digital strand of Clarion Futures –the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group.
Clarion Futures Money and Digital provides an extensive digital inclusion programme to help Clarion Housing residents get online and teach them the skills they need to benefit from the digital world. Digital inclusion services include training sessions in community locations, in-home training, volunteer Digital Champions sharing their skills, digital community grants and a dedicated centre offering a range of digital workshops and courses.
In the current financial year, we have seen over 4,000 basic digital skills training hours delivered across the country – benefitting hundreds of residents. Our volunteer digital champions have also delivered hundreds of sessions to learners in local libraries, community centres and other public spaces.
Stephanie Noyce, Head of Money and Digital at Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group, said: ‘We’re so proud and excited to be finalists for this award, and for our passion and dedication to helping our residents get online and improving their digital skills to be recognised in this way.’
Our digital team is part of the national One Digital consortium, which last year received £4million from the Big Lottery Fund to help 40,000 people improve their digital skills.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 2 May 2018.
