We at Clarion are happy to once again be celebrating Housing Day. This year’s theme is ‘the importance of home’, which seems especially relevant with all that has happened so far in 2020.
The need to have access to a good quality and affordable home became even more apparent when lockdown came into effect. Last year we invested £102 million in maintaining our existing homes so they are safe, comfortable and secure and invested £631 million in new homes to meet the needs of those failed by the market.
I strongly believe a home is a foundation from which to thrive. At Clarion, we offer so much more than bricks and mortar. We have dedicated teams right across our business supporting our residents to sustain their tenancies, get the help available to them, support residents into work or training, offer guidance and support on finances and improving digital skills. We don’t just provide a roof over their heads – the impact our colleagues make changes lives for the better.
You can read about how important our homes and our services are to our residents through some of their own stories in our Annual Report: https://bit.ly/2YcIQ76
