New report launched for developing the UK market for financing net-zero carbon, resilient buildings
The UK Government and City of London Corporation-backed Green Finance Institute established the Coalition for the Energy Efficiency of Buildings (CEEB), in December 2019. The focus of this coalition was to develop the market for financing net-zero carbon, resilient buildings in the UK. by accelerating a move towards the retrofit and development of a climate-resilient housing stock.
CLARION INCREASES NEW HOMES AND SURPLUS
In its Q4 market update, Clarion Housing Group announced it had completed 2,101 new homes, 86% of which were for affordable tenures, during the financial year 2019/20. The figure represents an increase from 1,243 built the previous year.
Funding boost for youth social action programme led by housing associations
A UK-wide youth programme delivered by the Housing Association Youth Network (HAYN) and led by Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group, and Peabody has received a further £290,550 to increase its reach.
Regulator awards Clarion Housing Group highest rating for Governance and Viability
On the 25th March, the Regulator of Social Housing announced that is was awarding Clarion Housing Group the highest possible ratings for governance and viability. Clarion retains its G1,V1 status following an in depth assessment (IDA) by the regulator at the start of 2020.
