Affinity Sutton Group and Circle Housing Group announce the full shadow Board and designate Executive team for the proposed merged organisation

The complete shadow Board and designate Executive team are announced as part of ongoing proposals to merge Affinity Sutton Group and Circle Housing Group.

The shadow Board members are:

Chair Designate – Sir Robin Young, currently the Chair of Circle Housing Group

Deputy Chair Designate – Neil Goulden, currently the Chair of Affinity Sutton Group

Shadow Board Member and Chair of Audit Committee – Simon Braid, currently on the Management Board of Circle Housing Group

Shadow Board Member and Chair of Treasury Committee – Colin Sturgeon, currently on the Affinity Sutton Group Board

Shadow Board Member and Chair of Remuneration Committee – Helen Bailey, currently on the Affinity Sutton Group Board

Shadow Board Member – David Avery, currently on the Management Board of Circle Housing Group

Shadow Board Member –Tania Brisby, currently on the Management Board of Circle Housing Group

Shadow Board Member – Sue Killen, currently on Affinity Sutton’s Group Board and Chair of the Affinity Sutton Homes Board

Shadow Board Member – Brian Stewart OBE, currently on the Management Board of Circle Housing Group.

The designate Executive team members are:

Chief Executive Officer Designate – Keith Exford CBE, currently the Chief Executive of Affinity Sutton

Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Commercial Lead Designate – Mark Rogers, currently the Chief Executive of Circle Housing Group

Chief Financial Officer Designate – Mark Washer, currently the Group Financial Director of Affinity Sutton

Company Secretary Designate – Clare Miller, currently the Group Director of Governance and Compliance of Affinity Sutton

Chief Executive Officer of Housing Association Designate – Neil McCall, currently the Group Operations Director of Affinity Sutton

HR Director Designate – Jonathan Cawthra, currently the Group Resources Director of Affinity Sutton

Director of Transition Designate – Austen Reid, currently the Chief Operating Officer of Circle Housing Group.

Prior to announcing the full Executive Designate and Shadow Non-Executive team both organisations commenced consultation with their respective residents on the merger. Feedback from this will be reviewed by both Boards, before considering a final decision to merge later this year. If agreed, formal consent will be sought from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The proposed new Group will build around 5,000 much-needed new homes a year and will increase by a third its investment in communities - enough to support 15,000 children to get a better start in life, help 4,000 people into work and 200 young people into apprenticeships every year.
