Clarion welcomes two new non-executive directors

Karima Fahmy joins the board of Latimer, Clarion’s development arm, and Alison Muir joins Clarion’s Housing Association Board.

Clarion is pleased to announce the appointment of two new non-executive directors to its Boards. Karima Fahmy joins the Latimer Board responsible for Clarion’s commercial development, and Alison Muir joins Clarion’s Housing Association Board, which oversees landlord services.

Karima is a senior corporate lawyer and brings to the Board high level real estate experience including the structuring and funding of real estate investment and development projects. Previously general counsel of Grosvenor Group, she currently holds non-executive positions on the University of Cambridge’s Property Board and the University Board of Bournemouth University.

Alison is a housing professional with extensive housing sector experience most recently as Director of Resident Services at Peabody Trust, chair of the G15 Housing Directors’ Group and member of the London Fuel Partnership who support the Mayor of London on Fuel Poverty. She brings to the Housing Association Board significant strategic and customer-focused housing management expertise.

Alison currently holds non-executive roles at Gateway Housing Association and Homes for Lambeth. 

New appointments

Commenting on her appointment to the Latimer Board, Karima said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed to join the Board at such a critical time for the country. Commenting on her appointment to the Housing Association Board, Alison said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed to join the Board responsible for overseeing the country’s largest social landlord.”
