Clarion Futures expands Virtual Learning Series to focus on the impact of the pandemic on young people
Clarion Futures launches events programme focused on the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on young people.
Following the success of the first Virtual Learning Series events in June and July delivered by Clarion Futures, our charitable foundation, we are launching a new programme focusing on the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on young people.
Taking place on three consecutive Mondays in July, the events will feature a varied line-up of presenters who will share their expertise and knowledge.
Programme of events
The full programme is as follows:
13 July, 4-5pm: Alone Together: Tackling loneliness and isolation at a distance presented by The Cares Family
In this session The Cares Family share how they have adapted their services to ensure those who engage with their programmes do not become socially isolated or lonely during the pandemic.
20 July, 4-5pm: Strength in solidarity: how listening helps youth organisations work through a crisis presented by Inspire Chilli
Reflecting on their recent report, Inspire Chilli present how young people’s voices should be at the heart of how youth organisations respond to the crisis.
27 July, 4-5pm: Take the Temperature research: How young people can have a role in building the ‘new normal’ in the wake of COVID-19 presented by Beatfreeks
In this final session, Beatfreeks share insights into their ‘Take the Temperature’ research and how young people have responded to the crisis across a number of key themes.
These events are free and open to all Clarion partners to access with time allocated for questions during each session.
Phil Miles, director of Clarion Futures, said:
“We’re delighted to be hosting these virtual events to provide our partners with access to invaluable expertise and insight. The Covid-19 outbreak has presented all sorts of challenges, and we hope these sessions will help inform new approaches and ensure youth engagement remains at the forefront of our efforts to support our residents and communities.”
