Clarion Housing Group wins gold at RoSPA Awards

Clarion Housing Group has won a fifth consecutive Gold Award and a Fleet Safety Gold Award.

Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest housing association, has been awarded the coveted Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Medal after securing a fifth consecutive Gold Award and a Fleet Safety Gold Award in recognition of its deep-rooted safety culture and commitment to the wellbeing of its workforce and customers

Now in its 69th year, and with almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, the RoSzPA Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.

Each award entrant is assessed against strict criteria. Through comprehensive risk assessments, ongoing training programmes, rigorous incident reporting procedures and a learning-focused culture, Clarion has been recognised not only as a leader within the housing sector but also as a benchmark organisation for best-in-class health and safety practice across the UK.

The awards were collected by the Clarion team at the official ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Paul Johnston, Director of Health and Safety at Clarion Housing Group, said:

“Achieving our first Gold Medal after five years of consecutive success is a significant accomplishment, and to secure a double gold this year with our Fleet Safety Award is something we are extremely proud of. “These awards reflect the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of everyone across Clarion, especially our front-line teams. Health and safety is embedded in our culture, and this recognition reinforces our continued focus on having assured quality practices as well as continuous improvement.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, added:

“Clarion should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.

“RoSPA regards Clarion as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.”

Clarion continues to investigate new ways to raise safety standards as part of its strong safety culture. Our safety team has worked closely with colleagues to make safety relevant at every level, while also supporting residents through accessible information on our customer portal and other tools that help create safer homes and communities.
