Clarion appoints Catrin Jones as Chief People, Data and Digital Officer to drive transformation
Clarion Housing Group has announced the appointment of Catrin Jones to the newly created role of Chief People, Data and Digital Officer, bringing together leadership of Corporate Services and Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) under one remit.
This strategic move follows an extensive external recruitment process and reflects Clarion’s ambition to modernise how it works and delivers services, ensuring people, data and technology are fully aligned to support colleagues and improve outcomes for residents. By bringing these areas together, Clarion is strengthening its ability to design services around communities and support more joined-up, patch-based working across the organisation.
Catrin’s appointment builds on recent changes to the Group Executive Team and supports Clarion’s wider transformation programme, focused on clearer accountability and enhanced delivery. As the organisation reviews its customer strategy, these leadership changes will help ensure Clarion continues to make a meaningful difference for residents, with local communities at the heart of decision-making.
Connecting digital leadership with culture and change
The creation of this role reflects a growing trend across sectors: digital transformation is no longer just about systems but about people, culture and organisational change. As AI and new tools reshape service delivery and speed up deployment, strong leadership and alignment are essential.
Catrin will continue to build on how Clarion is already using AI in practical ways - from enhanced knowledge tools and chatbots to automated call summaries - helping colleagues spend less time searching for information and more time focused on residents, ensuring every interaction counts.
By combining People, Data and Digital, Clarion is positioning itself to deliver best-in-class strategies across all three, with data at the heart of decision-making and service design.
Proven leadership and track record
Catrin has had executive oversight of this area since January 2025, and over the past year, has driven significant progress in cyber security, governance and the implementation of new solutions. Her focus remains clear: prioritising tools and systems that improve experiences for both colleagues and customers.
Before joining Clarion, Catrin worked in the software industry, led the implementation of Salesforce at Veolia and played a key role in stabilising Clarion’s FF2 platform after its initial rollout.
Commenting on the appointment, Clare Miller, Chief Executive, said:
“Catrin’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for Clarion. By bringing together People, Data and Digital, we’re ensuring our technology works harder for our customers and colleagues, while embedding a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.”
Catrin Jones, new Chief People, Data and Digital Officer, said:
'This is an incredible opportunity to ensure technology and people work together as effectively as possible. By aligning our People and Digital strategies, we can unlock our potential to be both effective and efficient, with people at the centre of decision-making.
“We will empower colleagues to deliver their best work and continue to improve customer experience. Our goal is to ensure the organisation has secure, resilient and usable tools that support our success, now and for the future. I am really looking forward to working with the new combined team to deliver this shared ambition.'
