Clarion recognised as one of the UK’s leading employers for disability inclusion
Clarion Housing Group is proud to announce it has been awarded Level 3 Disability Confident Leader status - the highest level of accreditation within the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.

This achievement recognises Clarion’s ongoing commitment to creating an accessible and inclusive workplace for disabled colleagues, candidates, and residents.
At Clarion, colleagues benefit from a robust and responsive reasonable adjustments framework, ensuring support is tailored, timely and reviewed as needs change. Recruitment processes are designed with accessibility in mind from the outset, and through the Disability Confident Interview Scheme, eligible disabled applicants are guaranteed an interview.
Internal colleague networks and lived experience groups play a direct role in shaping policies and improvements, ensuring decisions are informed by real voices and real experiences. Training and awareness programmes equip managers with the confidence and capability to support disabled and neurodiverse colleagues effectively.
The award follows a rigorous, independently validated assessment by the Business Disability Forum, which recognised the strength of Clarion’s inclusive practices. The Forum highlighted the organisation’s clear commitment to disability inclusion, noting in particular the quality of its policies and processes for making reasonable adjustments and delivering the Disability Confident Interview Scheme, describing them as among the strongest it had reviewed.
Catrin Jones, Chief People, Data and Digital Officer at Clarion Housing Group, said:
“Being recognised as a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader is an important milestone for Clarion and it reflects our commitment to continuing to evolve our thinking and ways of working to have inclusion at the centre.
“We want every colleague to feel confident bringing their whole self to work, knowing they will be listened to, supported and valued. That means focusing on practical, personalised support from accessible recruitment to high-quality adjustments and inclusive leadership.
“By championing disability inclusion, we strengthen our culture, improve decision-making, raise awareness among our people and our partners and ultimately deliver better services for the residents and communities we serve.”
As a Disability Confident Leader, Clarion will continue to support and encourage other organisations to strengthen their own approaches to disability inclusion, sharing insight and best practice across the housing sector and beyond.
This latest recognition builds on Clarion’s strong record as an inclusive employer. In 2025, the organisation was named Employer of the Year at the Housing Heroes Awards and holds bronze status under the National Inclusion Standard from Inclusive Employers for 2024/25.
