Latimer and Countryside given reserved matters approval for Phase 2 at Ashmere, Ebbsfleet Garden City

Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, in partnership with Countryside, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has secured reserved matters consent for the second phase of Ashmere, a landmark scheme on the former Eastern Quarry, part of Ebbsfleet Garden City.

Comprising 235 new homes, of which 25% will be for affordable housing tenures, residents will have a choice of houses and apartments, with private sale, shared ownership and affordable rent homes available.

In keeping with the garden city concept, Ashmere Phase 2 will also deliver extensive green public open spaces including a neighbourhood green, landscaping and play area – promoting a healthy, safe and sustainable lifestyle for residents.

Ashmere is set to become a new sustainable neighbourhood, ultimately comprising 2,600 mixed-tenure homes, as well as a new primary school and a village centre.

Due to complete fully in 2033, Ashmere is being delivered in collaboration with landowner Henley Camland. The partnership is also proud to be working with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation to deliver their vision for the Garden City.
