Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 - 2022

I write with great sadness, following the announcement of the death of Her late Majesty The Queen.

I know Clarion residents across the country will be reflecting on this momentous event. Her late Majesty was the only Monarch most of us have ever known, and she has been ever-present in our lives. A constant in our world and a source of hope, reassurance and quiet authority.

Most recently, the celebrations to mark her Platinum Jubilee were marked by events up and down the country. I was delighted to see many of our residents celebrating and commemorating her 70 years on the throne and proud that her Majesty issued an MBE to resident Safia Jama as part her Birthday Honours list.

All our thoughts are with the Royal Family.
