What do you enjoy most about your job?

The most enjoyable thing is being part of an established, committed team whose joint aim is to deliver an excellent service.

The mutual respect that exists for each other has created a homogeneous team, focussed on exceeding expectation on caretaking and ground maintenance services.

Coming to work is an enjoyable experience regardless of how busy it gets.

What is your favourite work memory?

The time we integrated the Caretaking and Grounds Maintenance service into my team’s Estate Services model. There was so much work involved in the process from the inception to integration. The satisfaction gained from progressing the project through to such a successful outcome was immense.

On our physical start date, we had a huge presence on the estates with operatives dressed in their branded uniforms along with our branded vehicles and equipment.

We made an immediate impact and were approached by many enthusiastic residents all excited about the change it was a remarkable sight.

What advice would you give to someone looking to join your team?

Join – don’t have any preconceived notions about what we do. It’s not just about cleaning, cutting grass and moving bulky rubbish, but viewing the importance of a green, well-kept and clean external environment and the obvious benefit it has on the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents. This is not only rewarding but satisfying.
