Wellbeing at work

Supporting colleagues

Our 4,000 people are Clarion Housing Group's greatest asset, and their wellbeing is our top priority.

We’re signed up to Mind’s Mental Health at Work Commitment, as well as the Mindful Employer charter developed by Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

Wellbeing self-assessments enable colleagues to flag up issues and take action.

Colleagues can access a 24-7 counselling service as part of our employee assistance and wellness programme.

And our in-house team of trained Mental Health First Aiders offers another form of support.

“We are here to listen and guide and signpost people to appropriate support if needed. I’ve received specific training to encourage people to talk more freely about mental health, reduce stigma and create a positive culture around it.”

Promoting wellbeing

We promote NHS guidance on staying physically and mentally healthy. And our benefits package includes health and lifestyle benefits.

Our Wellbeing Matters strategy encourages colleagues to look out for each other. It also provides tools to help manage wellbeing.

We run quarterly surveys to help measure levels of wellbeing among our colleagues. This complements management processes designed to spot and tackle issues.

This is all part of a bigger picture - an inclusive working environment where wellbeing is a priority.
