Our values shape the way we work together and with others and define the way in which we conduct ourselves. We’re a business for social purpose and our values have been chosen by our people.
They are part of our inclusive working environment where people are free to be themselves, are valued, and helped to reach their full potential. We empower and enable our people to make a genuine difference.
Clarion’s values are:
We communicate honestly and openly share information. By being transparent and collaborative, we build strong inclusive relationships built on trust.
We focus on delivering value and think carefully about our actions and their impact. We are financially disciplined and have a sustainable approach – enabling us to make a major social impact.
We promote mutual respect both within and outside our organisation, celebrate diversity and support inclusivity.
We focus on outcomes. Our shared social purpose drives us to deliver our very best and provide opportunities to build a better future.
We don’t stand still. More than 100 years after being founded, we are always looking to improve and adapt to new challenges. We aim to continue to make a difference for future generations.

Our mission and purpose
We’re a business for social purpose, with a mission to provide homes for those who need them most. Homes are the foundations we build our lives on, yet many people are denied them. We’re committed to making a difference in tackling the housing crisis and helping people build their lives.
We’re here to make a difference in everything that we do – from completing a repair for an individual resident to helping thousands of people into work or training every year. We’re also making a difference for communities across the country through the work of Clarion Futures, our charitable foundation.
At a national level, we’re lobbying the government to support social housing and build the homes the country so badly needs.
What we stand for
Learn about Clarion Housing Group’s values, chosen by our people, which guide us in our work to provide homes for those who need them most.
Our size, as the country’s largest housing association with a turnover of £1,008m and around 4,000 people, means that we offer a diverse range of roles - from lawyers and accountants to housing officers and IT specialists.
We reward our people with great salary and benefits packages, and invest in their professional development to help them progress in their careers.
“The most enjoyable thing is being part of an established, committed team whose joint aim is to deliver an excellent service…Coming to work is an enjoyable experience regardless of how busy it gets.”
